Jays Hatch Holiday Cottage has the luxury of a private heated indoor swimming pool which has a jacuzzi spa. With direct access from your accommodation and water heated to 32 degrees this adds a touch of luxury to any break. The pool is exclusively available for you to hire for two persons and the cost is just £20 per hour, swimming towels are provided. One small dog welcome (sorry no dogs in the pool room).

Guests are further welcomed to enjoy their own part of the 2-acre garden where you can find your very own perfect private spot, ideal for a picnic or relaxing and sunbathing on the sun loungers.
The seaside village of Walcott is within walking distance and is a forty minute stroll or 10 minute drive there you will find a fish and chip shop, a cafe and convenience store. The nearest pub which serves food is just a 30 minute stroll down quiet country lanes. Also nearby is the village of Bacton which has a Chinese takeaway and restaurant and a kebab and pizza house.
Just a short drive away are the traditional seaside towns of Cromer, Sheringham, Holt, Blakeney and Great Yarmouth. The area is abundant in nature and wildlife. Sit on the bench in your own area of garden and listen to the birds sing. You are surrounded by quiet lanes and footpaths to offer excellent walking and cycling direct from the doorstep. North Walsham is the nearest large town where a train can be caught to Norwich, Cromer and Sherringham. Take a trip to Horsey to visit the basking grey seals. Bike storage is available if required. Golf and supermarkets are nearby (Sainsbury’s Lidl and Waitrose) Beach, shop, fish and chips, Cafe, pub and Chinese restaurant 2 miles.
North Norfolk has so much to offer at any time of year and Jays Hatch is ideally place to explore its best.

This is the second time I have stayed at Jays Hatch, this lovely peaceful place. Cannot fault anything about Vals place.

Accommodation was well equipped and so cozy and warm. Bed and pillows truly amazing. Best nights sleep I’ve had when away. Garden area is amazing.
House is located in wonderful quiet village, great surroundings with great walks. Will be back in a heartbeat. The best hosts and run a truly wonderful cottage.
We loved the long weekend, thank you so much for everything. biscuits, milk, and fully equipped kitchen.

After touring Great Britain for 3 months we finally found the ideal place! We had two amazing views from outside and inside. We loved the Norfolk countryside, with open fields, tree lined roads and pastures, Norman churches dotting the landscape and farms and cottages to admire.
The attached cottage was clean, spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. We had milk and treats on our arrival plus a lovely visit with our hosts. We had a quiet, restful stay and wished we could stay longer.
The location was amazing! You do need a car to get there and then it's just 20 minutes to several beaches and about 30 minutes to Norwich or Great Yarmouth. Many lovely villages and country drives as well.
All of the appliances worked well. The shower was fantastic! With instructions the place was easy to find. We loved being able to park right next to the cottage and the
absence of stairs!
We highly recommend this accommodation and wonderful and caring hosts.

Lovely place to stay absolutely gorgeous and cool on a hot weekend! Photos did not do justice how gorgeous it is! Is quite remote but was lovely having a gin and tonic sat listening to wildlife in the evening and having breakfast in the morning in the peace and quiet! Val was very responsive and super helpful even when my mum broke a glass! Felt at ease and the beach recommendation for the second day was a hit and we spent all day in peace on a beach in Norfolk on the second hottest day of the year! A rarity! Bed was also super comfy and massive!

What can we say. Val and her husband were absolutely amazing hosts. We had a one night stay and wished we were staying for a week. The location was beautiful, garden incredible, and pool just lovely. Everything so clean and all the little touches made it (milk in the fridge and chocolate flapjacks!). They have thought of everything. Val gave us some great recommendations for a restaurant, we ate at the Gunton Arms which was incredible. She also helped us sort out a taxi. Book this place immediately as you won’t regret it (and book the pool too!). Thanks so much for having us Val !

One of our favourite air bnbs! When we arrived we were greeted by Val who kindly gave us a quick intro to the area and how to get in etc. Val had left us some sweet treats which were so tasty and thoughtful. We were overwhelmed with the size of the place it is bigger in person. The pool was well thought out and equipped with its own toilet and shower so we didn’t have to go through the house soaking wet. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a gorgeous dinner from local produce. The area is peaceful and far enough away to feel secluded but close enough to amenities. We visited Horsey beach and parked our small camper down there (free parking but overnight stays not allowed) it was perfect for a spot of seal watching and having some time away from the city which we’re used to. We also visited the 1940s tea room which was mentioned and loved it! It also had a cute shop to purchase a souvenir. We were so grateful to stay in such a beautiful, clean, private space thank you Val

Set in tranquil countryside Val's property is very well kept, with comfy bed, lots of light and an additional surprise of a swimming pool. Val was the perfect host and we really enjoyed our stay. Beach is 3 miles away, North Walsham a bit further but as a place to get away from it all it is perfect.

We had such a nice stay and wish we could have spent more time in this isolated piece of paradise. Val is a wonderful, friendly host who goes out of her way to ensure that her guests have a great stay. The annex is very well equipped, cosy and warm and we enjoyed every minute.
